O St. John, beloved disciple of Jesus,

you who rested on the Savior's breast at the Last Supper,

you who contemplated so closely the mysteries of his love and divinity,

we come to you with faith and humility.

Apostle of love, teach us to love as Jesus commanded us,

to love with a pure, sincere and selfless heart.

Help us to forgive those who have hurt us,

and to offer our love, even to those who seem difficult to love.

Grow in us the light of divine love,

so that we may be witnesses to God's tenderness in this world.

You who were faithful even to the foot of the Cross,

you who heard Christ's last words

and received the mission of caring for the Virgin Mary,

inspire us to remain close to Jesus in times of pain and trial.

Help us to be courageous and persevering,

never to shy away from the crosses we must bear,

but to embrace them with confidence, knowing that Jesus walks beside us.

O St John, witness of the Resurrection,

you who saw the empty tomb and believed even before you understood,

strengthen our faith in moments of doubt.

Teach us to look beyond appearances,

to see the signs of God's love and power in our daily lives.

May your unshakeable faith be for us an inspiration

and a light in our darkest nights.

Apostle and evangelist,

you who wrote the eternal words of Christ,

help us to understand and meditate on the Scriptures.

Give us the wisdom and light we need

to live according to the truth and walk the path of holiness.

Help us to carry the light of the Word in our hearts,

and to share that light with those who need it.

St John, visionary of the Apocalypse,

you who contemplated God's triumph over evil,

remind us that, despite trials, victory belongs to Christ.

Inspire hope in us,

even in times of persecution, injustice and helplessness.

Help us to keep our eyes fixed on eternity,

where we hope one day to behold God face to face, as you do.

O St John, intercessor and guide,

watch over us and protect us.

Be our defender in the battles of the soul,

our comforter in sorrow,

and our companion on the path to eternal life.

Pray for us, for our families and for those we carry in our hearts.

Help us to remain united in love and faith,

and to become, like you, living witnesses to God's mercy.

We entrust to you our intentions, our joys, our sorrows and our hopes.

Present them to the Lord Jesus,

and pray that we may be worthy to receive his graces.

Following your example, we desire to live in truth,

walk in the light,

and love unconditionally.

O St John the Evangelist,

pray for us and lead us to the heart of Jesus,

where we will find peace, love and eternal life.
