Oh Saint Bernadette,

You who were chosen by the Virgin Mary to be the witness of her love and tenderness,

You who accepted with humility the message of Lourdes,

You who suffered in silence, in simplicity and fidelity,

We turn to you with trust and fervour.

Learn us, like you, to listen to God's voice in the silence of our hearts,

To receive his graces with humility and to offer him our lives without reserve.

Grow in us that pure and sincere faith that was yours,

A faith that seeks neither glory nor reward,

But that is nourished by abandonment and trust in divine Providence.

Saint Bernadette, model of humility and obedience,

Help us to remain faithful to the teachings of the Gospel,

To see in our trials not a burden, but a path to God.

You who have suffered so much in loneliness and misunderstanding,

Support those who are rejected, forgotten, overwhelmed by pain or illness.

You who drank from the spring of Lourdes,

Source of healing and grace,

Pray for all who seek peace,

For those who are in search of hope and light.

Guide pilgrims who come to Lourdes,

May they find comfort and consolation.

O Saint Bernadette, you who knew how to accept suffering with love,

Learn us to bear our crosses with patience and courage,

To offer our sorrows for the salvation of souls,

And never to lose confidence in the infinite goodness of God.

Intercede for us with the Immaculate Virgin,

She who revealed her name to you,

She who enveloped you in her light and love.

May we, through your prayer, be purified and renewed in our faith,

May our souls drink from the fountain of divine mercy,

And may we, in our turn, be witnesses to God's love in this world.

O Holy Bernadette,

You who, in humility, were able to see the greatness of God,

Help us to keep our hearts simple and open to his will.

Be our guide on the path of holiness,

That, like you, we may one day be able to contemplate the face of God in eternal glory.
