On this day of Pentecost,
we come to You, Holy Spirit,
with our joys, our wounds, our weariness and our hopes.
Like the apostles gathered in the Upper Room with the Virgin Mary,
we await Your presence with confidence and faith. ?️
Come, Spirit of God,
breathe upon our lives like a wind of peace and light.
When our hearts are troubled, come and calm us.
When we are discouraged, come and lift us up.
When we fear the future, come and give us the strength to move forward.
Holy Spirit,
You who comfort wounded hearts,
come and heal what is fragile within us.
Heal our anxious thoughts,
our harsh words,
our lack of love and forgiveness.
Teach us to love as Jesus loved us.
Come and fill our homes with Your presence.
Bless our families,
protect our children,
support those who are lonely, sick or suffering.
Grant peace to those who mourn,
courage to those who suffer
and hope to those who can bear no more.
Spirit of wisdom and truth,
guide our choices and light our way.
Help us to remain faithful in prayer,
to keep our trust in the midst of storms
and never to stray from God.
May Your divine fire burn away within us all that separates us from love.
Transform our hearts,
renew our faith
and make us living witnesses to the Gospel.
Grant us the joy of forgiveness,
patience in trials,
gentleness in our words
and charity in all our actions.
Holy Spirit,
come and awaken those who have strayed from God,
come and strengthen Your Church,
come and shed Your light upon the whole world.
May Your peace triumph over hatred,
may Your love drive out the darkness
and may Your presence renew the earth.
O Holy Spirit,
we consecrate this day, our lives and our future to You.
Remain with us in every struggle,
in every doubt and in every hope.
And may we, through the intercession of the Most Holy Virgin Mary,
receive the graces of Pentecost:
ardent faith, true love and peace of heart.
