Lord our God,
tender and merciful Father,
we entrust our children to You today,
these treasures You have given us,
these precious lives entrusted to our love and care.
Thank you for each and every one of them,
For their smiles, their innocence, their radiance,
For their hearts still open to truth and beauty.
Thank you for the mystery of their lives,
For the unique path You have laid out for them.
Lord, watch over them every day,
In their joys as well as in their sorrows,
In their successes as well as in their weaknesses.
Protect them from visible and invisible evil,
Keep them in Your peace and in Your light.
As they grow up and move away from us,
Stay close to them.
When they doubt, enlighten their minds.
When they fall, lift them up gently.
When they are afraid, be their refuge.
Give them a good heart,
Capable of loving without measure,
Of forgiving without hesitation,
And to choose what is right even when it costs them.
Teach them the truth,
Guide their steps along the right paths,
And place righteous people in their path,
Sincere friends and witnesses to your love.
Lord, keep their souls pure,
But make them strong in the face of trials.
May they not be seduced by lies,
Nor led away from You by the illusions of the world.
We entrust them to You with confidence,
For You love them even more than we do.
We cannot control everything,
But You see all things, You know all things, You can do all things.
Bless their days, their plans, their dreams.
Let peace, joy and hope grow within them.
May they gradually discover their calling,
And may they respond courageously to Your call.
Lord,
Make our children men and women of light,
Peacemakers,
With hearts filled with faith and love.
And grant us, their parents,
The wisdom to guide them,
The patience to walk alongside them,
And the humility to entrust them constantly into your hands.
Lord, watch over them today, tomorrow and always.
May they walk in your presence
And may they never stray from your Love.
