Prayer to the Merciful Jesus:
Lord Jesus,
Living Source of Mercy,
You whose pierced Heart pours forth
Streams of grace for the whole world,
I come to You just as I am,
Poor, fragile, sometimes lost,
But thirsting for Your Love.
On this blessed day of Your Mercy,
I stand before You with confidence,
For You never reject
those who place their hope in You.
Jesus, gentle and humble of heart,
Look upon my wounds, my faults, my falls,
And see in me only that which Your Love can restore.
Immerse my soul in Your infinite tenderness,
Wash me in the waters of Your forgiveness,
And make me a new creature.
Lord, I am sometimes afraid to return to You,
But today I choose to trust.
I lay at Your feet my burdens,
My regrets, my inner struggles,
And all that I cannot change on my own.
May the rays of Your Mercy
Illuminate the darkness of my heart,
May they heal what is wounded,
May they warm what is cold,
And may they lift up what has fallen.
Teach me, Jesus,
To live in mercy too.
Give me a patient heart,
A non-judgemental gaze,
Words that comfort
And actions that lift others up.
Make me an instrument of your peace,
A witness to your forgiveness,
A reflection of your gentleness
In this world that needs it so much.
Lord Jesus,
I place all my trust in You,
Today and forever.
Never let me be separated from Your Love.
