Lord Jesus Christ,
You who are truly present in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar,
we prostrate ourselves before You on this feast day,
in wonder and thanksgiving.
You wished to remain with us until the end of time,
not in dazzling glory, but hidden in the humility of bread.
For love, You became food for our souls.
For love, You gave Yourself up so that we might have Life.
Lord, may this solemnity of the Blessed Sacrament rekindle faith in us!
May our eyes be opened to this silent miracle renewed at every Mass.
You are there, close at hand, in the tabernacle of our churches,
in the hearts of those who receive You with faith.
Give us to seek You with desire, to adore You with fervour,
to receive You with a pure heart filled with love.
O Living Bread come down from heaven,
You satisfy man's hunger that nothing else can satiate.
You are our strength in battle, our consolation in trial,
our light in darkness.
When we are weary, You sustain us.
When we doubt, You enlighten us.
When we fall, You raise us up.
Make us Eucharistic souls, witnesses to Thy real presence.
Lord Jesus,
we praise Thee for the infinite gift of the Eucharist.
Make love for the Blessed Sacrament grow in Thy Church.
May priests celebrate each Mass with ardent faith.
May the faithful come to You with hearts burning with adoration.
Send Your Spirit upon those who do not yet know You,
that they may discover in the Eucharist the hidden treasure of Your love.
O Jesus-Hostie, meek and humble of heart,
teach us true charity.
You who stooped so low as to become bread for us,
make us servants of one another.
Give us to share what we receive,
to live what we believe,
and to love as You have loved us.
Virgin Mary, Mother of the Blessed Sacrament,
You who bore in your womb the Bread of Life,
teach us to contemplate Your Son with eyes of love.
Conduct us always to Him, especially when our faith wavers.
Be our guide on the path of adoration and fidelity.
Amen.
