O glorious Saint Nicholas,

You who, through your infinite goodness and works of charity, reflected the love of Christ,

We turn to you on this day dedicated to you,

To entrust you with our hearts, our families and our prayers.

You have always looked after the most vulnerable,

Supporting the poor, rescuing children in danger,

And offering your protection to sailors and travellers.

Help us to follow your example of generosity,

Sharing with others what we have received,

And reaching out to those in need.

You who rescued the three young girls in distress,

Restoring their dignity and their future,

Come today to the rescue of those who are abandoned,

Of those who lack love, support or means.

Shine the light of hope into their night.

Saint Nicholas, guardian of children,

We entrust our little ones to you,

May they grow in love and faith,

May they learn to love as you do, with a generous and pure heart.

Watch over them, protect them from dangers and guide their steps.

You who are the protector of travellers and sailors,

We ask for your protection in our travels,

Whether by land, sea or spirit.

Guide us on the path to truth and eternal life.

O great Bishop of Myra,

Intercede with our Lord Jesus Christ

That our lives may be full of charity, peace and joy.

Learn us to cultivate simplicity and humility,

And never to lose confidence in divine providence.

On this blessed day of your feast,

We praise you for all the good you have accomplished,

And we ask you to continue to pray for us.

Saint Nicholas, friend of children and the poor,

Be our guide on the path of holiness.
