Lord my God,

On this morning that opens before me,

I come to place myself under your gaze and under your wing.

Enshrink me with your light and watch over my every step.

Protect my heart from evil thoughts,

my words from all that hurts,

and my deeds from all that deviates from your love.

Send your angels to watch over me,

guard me from accidents, from dangers seen and unseen,

from anxieties, temptations and discouragement.

Be my refuge in times of trouble,

my rock when the world totters,

and my peace in the midst of turmoil.

I entrust to You my family, my friends,

all those I love and those I will meet today.

Bring us Your blessing,

so that wherever we go, Your name may be honoured.

Lord, may your will be done in me today.

Make me attentive to your voice, quick to forgive,

and always guided by the Holy Spirit.

I consecrate myself to you wholly,

and I commit this day into your hands.
