Almighty Lord,
You give us in the saints
lights on our path
and faithful friends in the spiritual battle.
I give You thanks for my patron saint,
for his life offered to Your love,
for his example of faith, courage and goodness.
May the same ardour
that burned in his heart grow in me.
May he accompany me each day,
may he intercede for me with You,
and may he lead me ever closer to Heaven.
Give me, through his intercession,
to love, to serve, to forgive
and to become in my turn a witness to your love.
