Our Lady of Perpetual Help is the Mother of compassion and infinite mercy. Her tender and powerful gaze turns towards all those who suffer, doubt or struggle to keep the faith. To pray to her is to entrust ourselves to her maternal presence, a refuge in times of trial and hope in the darkest moments.
O most holy Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Mother of Christ and Mother of mankind, I come to you full of trust. You know my pains, my struggles and my weaknesses. Your heart overflows with love for those who call upon you with faith, and never has anyone implored you in vain.
O Mother of Perpetual Help, I turn to your blessed image, where you carry your divine Son in your arms. Your gaze full of tenderness rests on me, as on a child seeking protection. Hear my prayer, O sweet Mother, and come to my aid in the difficulties I am going through.
You who are the refuge of sinners and the comforter of the afflicted, obtain for me from the Lord strength in trial, patience in suffering and peace of heart in the midst of torment. Make me faithful to your Son Jesus, even when the cross weighs heavily on my shoulders.
O Mary, help of Christians, intercede for me with your beloved Son. Present to him my needs, my tears and my hopes. Obtain for me the grace I confidently ask of you (formulate your intention here). If this is God's will, may it be done for the good of my soul.
Mother most loving, keep me always under your mantle of light. Keep away from me dangers of body and soul, and grant that I may live in fidelity, charity and peace. Help me to love your Son with all my heart and to serve my brothers with joy.
O Our Lady of Perpetual Help, be my Mother at every moment of my life. And when the hour of my departure comes, welcome me into your arms to lead me into the eternal light of your Son's Kingdom.
