O Virgin Mary, most holy Mother,

in this month of October which the Church has consecrated to you,

I come to place myself under your mantle of light and peace.

You are the Mother of the Rosary, the Queen of Heaven and the gentle consoler of souls.

You welcome our prayers as one welcomes an offering of love,

and you present them to your Son Jesus with infinite tenderness.

I offer you, in this blessed month, the crown of my prayers,

the roses of my Hail Marys,

and the beating of my heart in union with yours.

Each bead of my rosary will be for you a word of love,

each decade a renewed trust,

each mystery meditated an encounter with your beloved Son.

O Mary, Mother of the Word made flesh,

you who welcomed into your womb the Light of the world,

teach me to contemplate Jesus through your eyes.

Help me to walk beside him in the joyful mysteries of his birth,

to sympathise with his suffering in the sorrowful mysteries,

to rejoice in his victory in the glorious mysteries,

and to let myself be enlightened by his Word in the luminous mysteries.

Teach me to pray not only with my lips,

but with my heart, my silence and my whole life.

May each Hail Mary be an act of sincere love,

a seed of peace planted in the world,

a flame of hope for those who doubt,

and a breath of faith for those who suffer.

O Queen of the Rosary,

you who promised so many graces to those who recite your rosary with fervour,

I come to lay my intentions and my burdens at your feet.

I entrust to you my joys and my sorrows,

my family, my friends, those I love and those I find it hard to love.

I also entrust to you the whole world,

so often wounded by war, hatred and indifference.

Intercede with your Son that peace may be reborn in hearts,

that charity may triumph over evil,

and that the light of Christ may dispel the darkness of our time.

O Mary, Mother of the Rosary,

you who at Fatima asked us to pray your rosary every day,

remind your children of the power of this simple and humble prayer.

Make us understand that by meditating on the mysteries of your Son,

we draw strength to live with faith and love with courage.

Help us to remain faithful to daily prayer,

to offer our rosaries as chains of love uniting earth to heaven.

O Faithful Virgin, guide of souls,

make this month of the Rosary a time of conversion and grace.

Reawaken in me the desire for holiness,

revive my faith that is sometimes asleep,

and revive my trust in the promises of your Son.

Make my heart, like yours,

become a place of welcome for God's will,

a space of light, silence and prayer.

I invoke you also for the souls in purgatory,

for the sick, the poor and the forgotten.

May they find consolation, hope and salvation through your maternal prayer,

And when my strength fails,

recite for me, O Mother of the Rosary,

the Hail Marys that I will not have been able to complete,

so that my whole life may become a last act of love.

O Mary, morning star,

shine upon your Church the brightness of your presence.

Unite Christians in faith and prayer,

and make us, your children,

bearers of peace, goodness and truth.

I greet you, Mother of the Rosary,

Mother of God and our Mother,

I love you, I thank you,

and I promise to pray to you every day,

until my last breath is transformed

into an eternal Hail Mary in the light of heaven.
