O St Thomas Aquinas,

You, the Angelic Doctor, light of the Church and teacher of truth,

You who devoted your life to contemplating the divine mysteries

And illuminating the world with your wisdom and faith,

We come to you today, with humility and trust,

To ask for your intercession and help on our journey to God.

You who passionately sought the truth,

Inspire in us a sincere love for knowledge,

A thirst to understand the wonders of creation

And a wisdom to discern what is right and good.

Help us to always seek God in all things

And to recognise his presence in the beauties of the world,

In the trials of life, and in the hearts of our brothers and sisters.

Saint Thomas, humble servant of truth,

You who taught that faith and reason unite harmoniously,

Help us never to set our faith against our understanding,

But to unite them to glorify the Creator of all things.

Teach us to trust in the light of the Gospel,

Even when our minds feel troubled by doubt or uncertainty.

Guide us in the way of wisdom,

So that our thoughts, words and actions may always be turned towards God.

You, the tireless defender of the Eucharist,

You who contemplated in the Bread of Life the mystery of divine love,

Learn us to venerate this holy sacrament with devotion,

To draw from it strength, consolation and peace.

May the Eucharist become a source of transformation for us,

Uniting us more deeply with Christ

And urging us to live fully his command to love.

O patron saint of students and researchers,

We entrust to you our studies, our work and our projects.

Help us to use our intellectual gifts with humility and gratitude,

Not for our personal glory, but for the service of God and neighbour.

Accord us discipline and perseverance in our efforts,

Patience in the face of difficulties and joy in the discovery of truth.

Protect our hearts from arrogance, vanity and selfishness,

And make us attentive to the needs of others,

Sharing with them the fruits of our knowledge.

St Thomas Aquinas, you who wrote and taught with such clarity,

Help us to live a life in harmony with our words,

To bear witness to our faith through our actions and daily commitment.

Inspire us with the desire for a simple and upright life,

Marked by love of God, charity towards all and humility.

O You who were faithful to the end,

Appease us to live each day as a gift from God,

To accept trials with courage and to persevere in prayer.

Intercede for us with God,

That one day we may behold with you the glory of his face,

And share in the eternal communion of love of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Saint Thomas, teacher and model,

Help us to grow in faith, hope and charity,

And to advance on the path of holiness.

We entrust to you our lives, our families, our joys and our sufferings.

Be a guide and intercessor for us,

And lead us ever closer to Christ, our Lord.
