O O Sacred Heart of Jesus,

an inexhaustible source of love, light and peace,

I stand before You today, with all that I am,

with my joys, my weaknesses, my wounds and my hopes.

I come to draw from the fire of Your divine heart,

where there burns unceasingly a love stronger than death,

sweeter than all consolation,

more faithful than human friendships.

You who let yourself be pierced by love for me,

You whose heart remained open never to close,

Welcome me as I am.

Take down in me the walls of fear, of resentment, of indifference.

Pour into my soul the tenderness that heals,

the strength that uplifts, the peace that reconciles.

Give me a heart like yours:

gentle, humble, compassionate, burning with charity.

Sacred Heart of Jesus,

I consecrate myself to You without reserve.

Take my thoughts, my words, my actions.

Be the king of my heart, the master of my life,

the light of my choices, the rest of my struggles.

Teach me to love like You:

to forgive without counting the cost,

to give myself without waiting,

to hope in spite of everything.

You who are the friend of sinners,

the refuge of weary souls,

the shepherd who never ceases to seek the lost sheep,

I entrust to You my loved ones, my family, those who suffer,

those who are far from You, those who no longer believe in anything.

Touch their hearts, light their path, surround them with Your mercy.

O Heart burning with love,

hide me in You when everything becomes too heavy,

when trials fall, when doubt overwhelms me.

Be my strength in weakness,

my light in the night,

my peace in the tumult.

Virgin Mary, Mother of the Sacred Heart,

You who have faithfully kept all the mysteries in your heart,

lead me daily to your Son.

Teach me to meditate on His word,

to adore Him in the Eucharist,

to serve Him in my brothers.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus,

I love You, I bless You, I give You thanks.

I entrust myself to You, today and forever.

Reign in me, reign in my home,

reign in Your Church and in the whole world.
