O Christ Jesus, eternal King,
King of love and mercy,
Reign over our lives, our families and the whole world.
You who came not to be served but to serve,
You who reign not by strength but by gentleness,
not by domination but by the total gift of yourself,
we prostrate ourselves before Your humble and glorious majesty.
King of our hearts,
come to cleanse what is wounded,
heal what is broken,
illuminate what is dark.
You alone know the inner paths
where our fears, doubts and struggles hide.
You alone know how to lead us to true freedom.
King of peace,
in a divided, troubled, restless world,
remind us that your Kingdom is not about violence,
but about justice, forgiveness and reconciliation.
Learn us to be peacemakers,
to sow your love where hatred would reign,
to console, to lift up, to encourage,
as you did during your earthly life.
King of truth,
you are the Light that enlightens our darkness.
Deliver us from error, lies and confusion.
Give us the courage to love the truth,
to seek it with a humble heart
and to live it with total fidelity.
King of the universe,
you hold in your hands the whole of creation,
the immense galaxies as well as the most fragile lives.
Nothing escapes your gaze, nothing is indifferent to you.
Reign in nations, in those who govern,
in peoples and cultures,
so that your Kingdom of justice and peace may be established.
King of the cross,
your throne was a wood set on a hill,
your crown braided with thorns,
and your sceptre a fragile reed.
Thus you defeated death
and opened for us the gates of eternal life.
Teach us that your victory comes through love offered,
through patience, perseverance and sacrifice.
Raised King,
living forever,
seat yourself on the throne of our lives:
in our thoughts,
in our words,
in our actions,
in our decisions.
Make us shining witnesses of your Kingdom,
joyful, bold, confident.
O Christ the King,
come and reign over our homes,
that peace may abide there.
Come and reign over our children,
that faith may grow in them.
You reign over our sick,
that your comfort may visit them.
You reign over our departed,
that they may enter into eternal joy.
King of Love,
we offer you all that we are:
our joys and our sorrows,
our plans and our weaknesses,
our wounds and our hopes.
Take all, transform all,
sanctify all by the power of your Sacred Heart.
May the day come at last when you will be
"all in all",
when your Kingdom will extend without end,
when every tear will be wiped away
and when the glory of your love will envelop the universe.
O Jesus Christ, King of the Universe,
We adore you,
We love you,
We bless you,
We welcome you as our King,
