The Holy Spirit is the living breath of God, the light that enlightens our souls, the strength that guides our steps and the source of all inner peace. He is the very Love of the Father and the Son poured into our hearts. To pray to Him is to welcome His presence in our lives, to open our hearts to Him and to let Him renew all that is wounded, dark or tired within us.

O Holy Spirit, Spirit of light and truth, I call on you today with confidence. Come into me, fill my heart with Your divine presence. Enlighten my mind that I may see things as God sees them, inspire my words and actions, and make me docile to Thy inspirations.

God's breath, come and purify all that leads me away from the Lord. Drive fear, sadness, confusion and doubt from my soul. Ignite in me the fire of Your love, make my heart burn with a deep desire for holiness and a sincere love for my brothers.

O Holy Spirit, You who strengthened the apostles and gave birth to the Church, renew in me Your anointing of strength and courage. Enable me to bear witness to the faith without fear, to love without measure and to forgive without reserve. Be my light in darkness, my peace in trials, my joy in weariness and my wisdom in decisions.

Come, Spirit of holiness, transform my life. Make my heart a living temple of the Trinity, a place of peace, praise and prayer. Teach me to dwell in God's presence at every moment, to entrust myself fully to His will and to walk in the freedom of God's children.

O Spirit of love, pour out Your gifts on me: wisdom to understand the mysteries of God, intelligence to delve into His Word, counsel to choose the good, strength to overcome evil, knowledge to see the beauty of creation, piety to pray with faith and the fear of the Lord to remain humble before His greatness.

Spirit of fire, come and rekindle the flame of my faith and make my life an instrument of Your love. Pour Thou out upon the world, Lord, and renew the face of the earth.
