Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, a humble Capuchin marked with the stigmata of Christ, dedicated his life to prayer, sacrifice and compassion for suffering souls. Through his unshakeable faith, his miracles and his love of others, he continues to inspire millions of believers to live in trust and total abandonment to God. To pray to him is to approach the very heart of divine mercy.
O Holy Padre Pio, you who lived in such deep union with the Heart of Christ, I come to you with confidence to entrust my soul, my sufferings and my intentions to you. You who knew pain of body and spirit, and who bore the stigmata of the Saviour, intercede for me with the Lord so that I may find the strength to love, even in trial.
Saint Padre Pio, apostle of forgiveness and peace, help me to welcome each day as a gift from God. Teach me to pray with a sincere heart, to accept the crosses in my life without complaint, and to offer my sorrows for the salvation of souls. May your example inspire me to live in faith, charity and absolute trust in divine mercy.
O you who said, "Pray, hope and do not worry", bring down upon me that inner peace which nothing can disturb. In my struggles, be my support; in my doubts, be my light; in my wounds, be the witness of Christ's tenderness.
Saint Padre Pio, humble servant of God, you who dedicated your life to prayer and to listening to hearts, hear my supplication. Present my requests to the Lord and obtain for me the grace that I entrust to you today (formulate your intention here). If this is God's will, may this prayer be answered for His glory and the good of my soul.
O Padre Pio, companion of those who suffer, friend of souls in pain, make faith and patience grow in me. Teach me to recognise God's presence in silence, in pain, in joy and in mystery. May your intercession help me to go forward each day on the path of holiness.
Saint Padre Pio, guide me towards the Heart of Jesus, source of all mercy. Through your help and prayer, may I remain faithful to God's love, until the day I see him face to face in the eternal light of Heaven.
Amen.
