Saint Expédit is known throughout the world as the saint of urgent causes, the one who is invoked in times of distress, when time is short and hope seems to be dying out. A soldier of Christ, he symbolises determination, faith and courage in the face of adversity. To pray to him is to entrust to his intercession situations that require a rapid response, with confidence in God's power.
Saint Expedit, model of courage and promptness, you who knew how to overcome the temptations of the devil and reject procrastination, teach me to act with uprightness and firmness. Give me the strength to do what is necessary without fear, doubt or delay. Inspire me to always choose the good, even when the path is difficult.
O Saint Expedit, protector of those in need, you who answer the prayers of desperate souls, stretch out your helping hand to me. I entrust my situation to you (pause to present your request) and I beg you to hasten the grace I need. May your powerful intercession obtain from the Lord a speedy solution to my difficulties, light in my doubts and peace in my heart.
Saint Expedit, I promise to bear witness to your goodness, your help and your effectiveness. I will lift up your name with gratitude and keep faith in God, source of all mercy.
O holy warrior of Heaven, may your presence accompany me in my trials. Drive away fear and weakness from me, and let confidence shine in my soul. May I remain strong in faith, faithful in trial, and quick to do good every day of my life.
