Saint Rita, often called the saint of hopeless causes, remains for many a beacon of hope in times of distress. She experienced pain, loss and injustice, but her faith never wavered. To pray to Saint Rita is to entrust our wounds and our struggles to a friend of Heaven who understands our trials and intercedes with God with gentleness and power.

O glorious Saint Rita, you who are invoked in the most impossible situations, I come to you with trust and humility. You who knew how to keep faith in the midst of the worst pain, hear my prayer and intercede for me with the Lord. Obtain for me the strength to face my difficulties with patience and courage, and the grace never to despair, even when all seems lost.

Saint Rita, model of charity and love, you who knew how to forgive those who offended you, teach me to love and forgive in my turn. You who bore on your forehead the mark of the Passion, unite my sufferings to those of Christ and make them a source of blessing.

I entrust to you my most secret sorrows, my worries, my burdens and my desires. Present them to the Heart of Jesus, so that He may grant me, if it is His will, the grace I confidently ask of Him. Saint Rita, patron saint of hopeless causes, grant that I may taste peace of heart, the light of hope and the joy of renewed love.

I promise to always keep the faith, even in times of trial, and to bear witness to God's mercy to those around me. Accompany me on my life's journey, enlighten my choices, and make my heart like yours: humble, trusting and turned towards Heaven.
