Lord our God,

source of all grace and blessing,

I humbly come before You with this object,

a visible sign of my faith and love for You.

I know, Lord, that it is not matter that saves,

but the faith of the heart that turns to You.

However, I ask You to welcome my approach,

and to pour over this object the power of Your blessing.

May it become for me a constant reminder of Your presence,

an instrument of prayer and peace,

a link between my daily life and Your divine mystery.

May I always guard it with reverence,

not as a mere object,

but as a sign of Your infinite love.

Benish, Lord, what I present to Your Church,

that through the priest's prayer

and the power of Your Holy Spirit,

it may become a means of drawing me closer to You.

May every time my eyes rest on it,

my heart turn to You in trust,

may my thoughts soar to Heaven,

and may my whole life be a praise to Your Name.

O God of goodness, through the intercession of the Virgin Mary,

the saints and the angels,

deign to sanctify this object I offer You,

so that it may help me to grow in faith,

to protect me from evil,

and to radiate Your love around me.

Through Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son,

who lives and reigns with You,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

for ever and ever.
