Angel of God,

you who are my guardian, my brother of light,

heavenly creature sent by the Father to watch over my soul,

here I stand before you with trust and abandon.

Since the day I was born, you have been by my side,

silent, invisible, faithful in joy and distress alike.

You know me better than anyone else,

you know my flaws, my wounds, my struggles,

and yet, you have never left me.

You've protected me without my knowing it,

you've inspired me without my hearing,

you've carried me in your wings when I couldn't take it anymore.

O my holy guardian angel,

I pray to you today from the bottom of my heart:

protect me from all evil,

from troubled thoughts, destructive feelings,

from choices that lead away from God,

from the snares of the world and the temptations of the Enemy.

Enclose me with a circle of divine light,

so that nothing evil comes near me,

not in my body, nor in my soul, nor in my spirit.

Keep my nights peaceful and my days bright,

make an invisible barrier between me and the darkness.

Guide my steps when I move forward in uncertainty,

recall to my heart what is right when I lose my way,

and whisper within me the gentle calls of God's will.

Keep from my path evil influences,

hasty decisions, unjust anger,

and make me an instrument of peace.

I entrust to you all that I am,

all that I carry,

all that I fear, all that I hope.

Protect also those I love,

those whom God has placed in my path,

and all those for whom I pray.

Be the angel who speaks to my heart,

who awakens my soul,

who stops me when I stray,

and who comforts me when I suffer.

When fear overtakes me, be my strength.

When fatigue overtakes me, be my breath.

When I fall, lift me gently.

You who gaze unceasingly on the Face of God,

shine upon me a reflection of that eternal light.

Make faith, hope and charity grow in me.

Teach me silence, prayer, listening,

and the deep joy of being a child of the Father.

And when the hour of the last fight comes,

stand by me, O my angel,

do not leave me alone in the face of darkness.

Enlighten the passage from earth to heaven,

and lead my soul into the arms of Jesus.

I bless you, I thank you,

and I entrust myself to you for today, for tomorrow,

and for eternity.
