O St. Joseph,

faithful protector, virginal husband of the Virgin Mary,

nurturing father of the Son of God,

just and silent man, strong and full of faith,

I come to entrust myself to you with trust and abandon.

You who knew how to listen to the voice of God in the dreams of the night,

you who did not hesitate to take Mary into your home,

you who guided the Child Jesus along the paths of exile and return,

take care of me today,

watch over my life as you watched over that of your Son.

Saint Joseph, protector of homes,

put your hand on my house and all that dwells in me.

Protect my heart from useless worries,

fear, doubt, withdrawal and weariness.

Give me calm in trial,

courage in the decisions to be made,

and the strength to walk in God's will, even when I do not understand it.

You, the man of silence indwelt by God,

mute in me the voices of the world,

and teach me to welcome the peace of the Holy Spirit.

Save me from the snares of the evil one,

the temptations of pride, anger, selfishness.

Protect me from injustice, dangers,

accidents, illnesses, and all that can threaten soul and body.

Saint Joseph, patient and humble craftsman,

be the guardian of my work.

Inspire my efforts, bless my projects,

open the doors that must open, close those that must remain closed.

Bring to fruition what I build in truth and justice.

Tender Father, care for those I love.

Watch over my family, my children, my parents,

my friends, my colleagues, those I carry in prayer.

Protect couples, the sick, the poor, the exiled,

those who toil in the silence of their daily lives.

O Saint Joseph,

make your mantle of light around me.

Be my refuge in days of doubt,

my strength in days of fatigue,

my intercessor when I no longer know how to pray.

Teach me to love Mary with your righteous heart,

and to love Jesus with your fatherly heart.

Make me faithful in little things,

gentle in conflicts, generous in sacrifices.

And when the hour of my last passage comes,

be with me as you were with the dying Jesus.

Put my hand in yours,

and lead my soul into the eternal light of the Father.

Saint Joseph, guardian of the Redeemer,

pray for me, protect me,

and never forsake me.
