Lord our God,
You who are the source of every blessing,
You who have sanctified the earth through the presence of your incarnate Son,
We come before You, with faith and humility,
To entrust to You these blessed objects, these visible signs of your invisible love.
May they become for those who wear or use them
instruments of grace, peace and light in their daily lives.
Lord, bless these sacramentals which your Church gives us:
the crosses, medals, rosaries, holy water, salt, scapulars,
and all these objects marked with the seal of faith.
By your blessing, may they become bulwarks against darkness,
constant reminders of your covenant,
and paths that bring us ever closer to You.
We pray to You, Almighty God,
to surround with your heavenly protection all those who wear them with confidence.
May the cross on their breast remind them of your sacrifice of love.
May the medal of your beloved Mother cover them with her maternal mantle.
May the scapular remind them that they belong to You.
May the holy water ward off evil spirits and purify their thoughts.
Give them, Lord,
peace in trial,
strength in temptation,
consolation in times of anguish,
and light in darkness.
May your Holy Spirit rest upon them like a blazing fire,
enlighten their path,
warm their hearts,
and transform their lives into a living offering to your glory.
We also beg You, Lord Jesus,
to open hearts to true faith in You,
so that these sacramentals may never be used as magical objects,
but always received with faith, hope and charity,
in a sincere desire to walk in Your footsteps.
Protect, Lord, homes, families, children,
those who travel, those who suffer, those who are tempted or persecuted.
May your blessing rest on all who draw near to You through these signs.
Make everyone a living temple of your presence.
Through the intercession of the Virgin Mary,
the holy angels, and the patron saints,
may this blessing remain upon us and upon all that we bear with faith,
in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
